Week 5

Weight Loss- (32 to go)  The bad news is I gained a pound this week.  The good news is I started running again a little bit.  We went to the gym Sunday and Wednesdays.  On Wednesday I tried running a little bit.  It was rough, but it was a start.  We missed our Friday gym trip because Brian was out of town.  Brian got back late last night, and we went out to dinner to celebrate his return.  That on top of the giant cookies somebody brought to work on Friday explains my pound gain.  I'm not too worried about it.  We are having a Super Bowl Party tomorrow and then after that I will work on losing that pound again.  I was just calculating and in order for me to lose at least the 34 pounds that I set out to lose this year, I need to lose 2.8 pounds a month.  The first month is over and I am right where I should be (of course I would rather be ahead, but I will take it).

Recipes- (29 to go) On Sunday we tried a new meatloaf recipe.  It was supposed to be turkey meatloaf in an effort to be more healthy, but the store was out of turkey when we went, so we just used beef.  The recipe can be found on my Pinterest wall.  We also did twice baked potatoes which was not a new recipe, but we did substitute the sour cream with Greek yogurt, trying to make it more healthy.  It worked!  Both the meatloaf and the potatoes were delicious.

Movies- (26 to go) On Sunday we went to the movies and saw Lone Survivor.  It was really good, but really graphic.  It had me a little teary eyed, which hasn't happened in a long time.  I highly recommend this movie.

Monday we had a snow day, and I watched a movie on Netflix called Take This Waltz starring Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen.  It was a movie about a young couple who have been married for a few years, and the wife starts getting bored with the relationship.  She then starts getting feelings for the neighbor.  At first I didn't like this movie because I really hated the main character, but then in the end she kind of ended up where she deserved so that made me feel a little bit better.  This movie was just OK.

Books- (33 to go) Still plugging away at Mockingjay.  I feel like I may never reach the end.  I also started a kids book called Savvy.
